About
PENNY BRIDGE
Penny Bridge Communications is a corporate communications advisory firm run by Roger Sauerhaft, a former SVP at award-winning midsize agency Sloane & Company. Roger brings more than a decade of experience to the fore and he is accustomed to leading a mix of long-term engagements designed to proactively build or enhance clients’ media profiles as well as shorter-term, high-profile assignments including litigation and transaction support.
Roger started Penny Bridge in November 2021 as a sole proprietorship positioned to offer premium-quality strategic counsel in a truly individualized way for ascendant tech and fintech brands. Roger is unique among PR professionals in that he excels at both proactive narrative building and storytelling while at the same time possessing intensive special situations experience, enabling him to value-add for clients throughout their growth trajectories.
This skillset comes from having held editorial internships with Conde Nast Publications and Time Inc. while serving on his college daily’s editorial board more than a decade ago. Roger knows what is and isn’t a story, and ghostwriting persuasive op-eds about complicated topics on tight deadlines is nothing new to him.
Roger holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan, where he served as the first president of the school’s national-championship winning Club Golf team before beginning his career on the marketing/speechwriting teams at the William J. Clinton Foundation.
Roger resides in Brooklyn, just blocks from the site of the former Penny Bridge, an iconic footbridge that was demolished in 1946, ahead of the construction of Robert Moses’ Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. He enjoys basketball, softball, golf and photography in his spare time, and is proud to share that all images shown on this website are his own.
